Why Hire A Personal Trainer?
When you hire a personal trainer, you are not just purchasing their physical presence and guidance through your workouts, but also their education, experience, knowledge and expertise with program development and design.
Our bodies have more than 200 bones, over 600 muscles and approximately 230 moveable and semi-moveable joints.
Let's face it, our bodies are extremely complex!
Personal trainers have been educated in these complexities and therefore, are uniquely qualified to help you achieve your physical fitness goals as safely and quickly as possible. In addition, Personal Trainers are continuously re-educating themselves to make sure they keep up to date with the latest and greatest fitness programs, exercises and techniques, while distinguishing between the fitness marketing hype.
Tommy R., better known as '"Thunder Punch'" or '"Too Quick'", overcame polio to become a professional boxer, who competed around the world and fought before thousands of people on national television.
By age 18, Tommy had earned his black belt in Karate and had a 68-1 record as an amateur kickboxer. He then began his career as a top-ranked professional kickboxer and compiled a record of 32-4.
In 1986, he switched to boxing and had eight consecutive knockouts in his first eight professional fights in the junior cruiser weight division. Tommy sparred with Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks and Michael Moore.
Retired from competition, Tommy remains a 10th Degree black belt and a professional personal trainer.
From Tommy: ""I earned the Honor of being ranked #1 Kick Boxer in the World and #7 in Boxing W.B.C. Since my retirement from competition, I have been training professional athletes, such as Bret Myers, the pitcher for the Philadelphia Philly's, Jason King of the Atlanta Braves and Derrick Guiterez of the Seattle Mariners. I have also trained Jacksonville's Finest Police Officers for the Guns & Hoses" Boxing Competition and for over ten years I have taught Karate at Bethel Baptist Church and also at the Bridge of Northeast Florida for many years."
Tommy's Motto: "If you continue to do what you have always done, you are going to continue to get what you have always gotten. BUT, if you want something you have never had, you have to do something you've never done!!"
